(Hons) degree in Environmental Management and has worked on numerous international research projects. One of projects in which she was instrumental was mapping coral reef habitats on the second largest barrier reef in the world, found in Belize. Lea has worked in many places around our beautiful planet on a variety of expedition ships. She remains passionate about everything to do with our marine environment, and the study and protection of our oceans’ natural biodiversity. HEDDA ANDERSEN – Glaciologist Hedda was born and raised in the countryside outside Oslo, Norway, and now lives in the remote and icy archipelago of Svalbard in the Arctic – known for its unparalleled natural beauty and its unique wildlife, including the magnificent polar bear. She graduated from the University Centre in Svalbard and the University of Oslo with a Master’s Degree in Glaciology in 2023, after completing her undergraduate Bachelor of Science Degree in Geology in 2021.
